MENTOR: INVEST IN LEADERS OF LEADERS

Mr. Singer teaching Simeon how to play the drums on his 3rd birthday!

Let’s do this! Find reliable people and invest in them! Spend time together and let them see you in various situations. Take them with you to pray for people. Go to the hospital and practice! Do prayer walks and look for people of peace. Start a discovery group together in a new place with new people.

Visit people in their homes no matter what their background is. Eat whatever is set before you and have fun! Pray for them!

Today we are looking at scripture to discover the power of life-on-life mentoring. We want to take time now to consider our own next steps in multiplying leadership through investing in key people.

Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2:
And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

What do we learn about God?

What do we learn about people?

How does God want us to respond?

Who can we share this with?

Just as Barnabas invested in Paul, Paul in turn invested in Silas, Timothy, Titus, and others. They he instructed Timothy to invest in “reliable” people who would invest in still others. We want to take time today to let God speak to us about who he wants us to invest in the next season of our lives.

What a joy it has been to pass on ministry opportunities to others. Big or small, God is in it and he wants people to enter into the joy of serving Jesus in everyday life!

Let us know what God speaks to you!

We so enjoy catching up with people and seeing who they are investing in as we visit different vineyards all over India. Many people we met as teenagers when we first moved to India are now leaders in different vineyards and are mentoring others. This is such a joy for us. Disciples making disciples and it just goes on and on.

Let’s pray for the people who have recently moved to new cities in India to do God’s work like David and Donna, and Sijee and Shash!
