LOVING THE LEAST OF THESE!

50 OF THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL BOYS IN THIS SCHOOL

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40

Here’s another story from Kandis from the Beaches Vineyard in Jacksonville who is now in Delhi:

Remember Sapna, the principal who asked me to come help the “difficult children” at her school? Well when I arrived Tuesday for my first group assembly teaching on Jesus, Sapna had gathered what she considered the most disrespectful boys in the school…nearly 50 of them ranging from kindergarten to high schoolers. We got to know each other and I lead them in a simple prayer giving Jesus their fear, pain and worries in exchange for his hope, peace, love and joy.

Today was day 2 with said “difficult boys.” I told the kids it’s Thanksgiving in America and what our traditions are. A handful of boys were willing to share what they were thankful for. Next I told the Nativity Story and we finished with me teaching them Silent Night. As the boys left the classroom I stood at the door, anointed each one and declared a blessing over them.

Isn’t it just like Jesus to go after the outcasts!

Beautiful last day of “Discover Jesus” group with my so called “bad boys” at a private school.

I asked them to tell me what they were grateful for. Here’s a sample: 😭

“Since you teach the class about Jesus and pray for me, my home is peaceful.”
“I see Jesus in my home temple.”
“I can do class work, before my mind could not do it.”
“I see Jesus in you ma’am.”
“Jesus is helping me change my bad habits.”

The final lesson (C2C story) teaches how Jesus came to bring us back to God, restoring our relationship to God as sons living at peace with God. I asked the boys “Do you want Jesus to bring you back to God?” followed by, “Stand up if you do.” Not one child remained seated.

I prayed with them, asked them to write their names in my prayer journal then anointed them as they departed.

Join me in praying for the boys.

“Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭TPT‬

Regarding Matthew 25:40,

  1. What do we learn about God?

2. What do we learn about people?

3. What should I do to obey this passage this season?

4. Who can I share this story with?

Let’s listen to His voice and see what He would have us do this season!

Revelation 3:20: Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
