Cabbages in the Desert, how God transformed a devout Muslim and catalyzed disciple making movements among unreached peoples

Just got back from a Catalyst Camp for DMM in Mesa, Arizona where we heard the author of this book, Cabbages in the Desert. It’s an unlikely story of what God can do even when we can’t imagine it. The author Aila Taste was the main speaker. Here are my takeaways:

God is always speaking

John 6:35-45. God will teach and everyone

Acts 17:1-12

Examine the passages and find out for yourself

Discovery – learning how to hear God’s voice

We are all learners discovering God

Matt 13 – what kid of soil are you?

Like the pearl of great price

Access to Jesus – we all need to listen to God and then obey

Movement prayer

  1. Intimacy
  2. Focus on Kingdom over us
  3. Reliant – when we pray, God works
  4. Passionate – His love comp[els me
  5. Forceful – spiritual warfare hierarch
  6. Diverse – listening prayer
  7. Extravagane
  8. Strategic, employs informed prayer (prayer walks – onsite for insight
  9. Multiplicative – increase
  10. Relentless – persists until breakthrough occurs

These are my takeaways from the Catalyst Camp in Mesa Arizona last week.

I pray you will consider these truths and continue trusting and obeying Jesus

Great strategies given in this book and easy to understand with lots of stories
