It articulated the presence and power of the Holy Spirit could be accessed and released in ministry without the Pentecostal style.

It also involved listening to the Holy Spirit before we pray. We learned to wait on the Lord in

silence like the Quakers did. We learned to cultivate the ability to hear from the Holy Spirit

John was a firm believer in functional leadership over positional. “The easiest way to know if you’re a leader is just to turn around and see if anyone is following you.”
