Food is often a big temptation

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Jesus and the Father are always at work, but so is the devil.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praise worthy–think about such things” (Phil. 4:8).

So we need to draw into the presence of God to protect ourselves from the schemes of the enemy in every and any situation.

This phrase was John’s way of identifying the process by which the Holy Spirit instills empathy and compassion to advance his kingdom as we then minister to others.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Time with Jesus transforms us.

GENEROSITY IS A KEY TO THE KINGDOM.

We break free from the fear of not having enough and enter the joy of Jesus (Her 12:2).
