Matthew 14:25-27.
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
Jesus meets us in the midst of the storms of life. He comes to us when we are in need.
He comforts us with His presence.
Even if we think the worst, He calms our fears.
We can come to Him with any emotion and be honest with Him about our need.
Let’s rely on Him today to meet us right where we are at.
—How can you position yourself to hear God’s voice in the midst of darkness and confusion?
—Take some time to truly encourage someone today: listen to others, call out what you see Jesus doing in them, and give them hope that Jesus is with them.
—Listen for the voice of Jesus in unexpected places this week: work, museums, music, conversations, food, sounds, nature
—How is Jesus walking towards you?
—Where do you need courage today?
—Notice the places in your soul that feel afraid. How is Jesus inviting you to not be afraid?
—Where do you need a different perspective on confusing circumstances in your life?
Thanks for this encouragement x
