LET’S MAKE DISCIPLE MAKERS

So we just got back from a big trip to India and Sri Lanka. We conducted three retreats training disciple makers from all different parts of India and Sri Lanka. We were so thrilled the way the Holy Spirit showed up and impacted the leaders that attended. We also helped them make a plan moving forward for the next six months to find persons of peace and start discovery groups in their communities.

We looked at Matthew 28:16-20 quite in detail about what Jesus wants us to do as far as making disciples and also how He did it.

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We also looked at Actts 2:42-47 and how a simple church where you reach whole households can do the same things that the people did in Acts and impact their communities.

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

As we approach the End Times, when Jesus will return for His beautiful Bride, let’s continue to pray for the unreached people groups in South Asia.

Let’s use extraordinary prayer as we mobilize people to increase their faith in what God ca do through simple people reaching whole households for His glory.

Let’s pray for young people to be empowered and women as persons of peace emerge in the most unlikely places.

What do we learn about God?

What do we learn about people?

How should we respond or change in light of these truths?

Who can we share this with this week?
